Emails Being Blocked By IP Number

Hi,

All of the email we try to send to our clients that have AT&T related emails are being blocked. This has been going on for a month maybe. I submitted a report asking to be removed and have not received a satisfactory outcome.

I've thoroughly checked our logs and there is no indication that our mail server is spamming anyone.

Here is a sample output from Postfix:

Apr 14 14:01:40 [Mail Server Name - Redacted] postfix/smtp[20577]: BC18F41C: to=[Recipient Redacted]@sbcglobal.net>, relay=al-ip4-mx-vip2.prodigy.net[144.160.235.144]:25, delay=0.62, delays=0.04/0.04/0.47/0.07, dsn=5.3.0, status=bounced (host al-ip4-mx-vip2.prodigy.net[144.160.235.144] said: 553 5.3.0 alph148 DNSBL:ATTRBL 521< [OUR IP NUMBER - REDACTED] >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this email to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net (in reply to MAIL FROM command))

Please unblock the IP number, which I will provide via PM.

Have you contacted  abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net as it stated?

@jleonecpa

Send me a private message with that block full message, there is info in it that I need. Then I can reach out to the postmaster team and get that block removed.

I have a similar problem and reported it a while back to the abuse_rbl address without ever getting a response.  Here's the message I get with the ip and email address removed:

Action: failed

Remote-MTA: dns; al-ip4-mx-vip2.prodigy.net
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 553 5.3.0 alph762 DNSBL:ATTRBL 521< [ip address removed] >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this error to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

@thall888, we have updated our process and you will need to get assistance through the email support process.

Our Postmaster will be in touch as soon as possible. Your request will be processed in the order it was received. Just as a heads up, sending multiple emails to that group will not expedite your request, and may activate that group’s spam filtering. However, you can rest assured that we are working on it.

We also recommend seeing if there are any steps you can do to help keep this issue from happening by following this article. We will do our best at AT&T to assist where we can @thall888

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the response.  The article has a link in it to send email to the abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net.  That is the address I sent the request to a least over a year ago.  I never got a response back at all.  The sending domain isn't on any blacklists that I checked using several different online automated tools.

Thanks,

Tommy

Since it has been a year ago, we would recommend resending the email because it should not take that long for a resolution to your concern @thall888.

We would recommend providing a brief summary of your issue, the full error, along with your mail server and contact information to get the resolution you are looking for.
