Email Login issues with Chrome and Firefox

Starting yesterday I keep getting and error logining into email using either chrome or firefox. Error says it does not recognize my user ID and or password. Still works fine via MS Edge and via my android phone. I have cleared the coookies and ensured javascript is enabled. Browsers are latest versions. I turned off all extensions. Still does not work. Is there a fix.

Hello @sgfrva,

There are no reported problems with the sign in page. For all three browsers, are you manually typing in your credentials or do you have autofill doing it for you? Have you tried an incognito/private browsing session?

I have a password manager that has allways worked fine until yesterday. Having said that I also tried typing in manually in regular and incognito mode clearing cookies after each try stil no luck loging into https://loginprodx.att.net/commonLogin/igate_edam/controller.do?TAM_OP=login&USERNAME=unauthenticated&ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&ERROR_TEXT=HPDBA0521I%20%20%20Successful%20completion&METHOD=GET&URL=%2FFIM%2Fsps%2FATTidp%2Fsaml20%2Flogininitial%3FRequestBinding%3DHTTPPost%26PartnerId%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Flogin.yahoo.com%2Fsaml%2F2.0%2Fatt%26.lang%3Den-US%26Target%3Dhttps%253a%2F%2Fmail.yahoo.com%253f.lts%3D1463059665%3Ftucd567%3Dw&REFERER=https%3A%2F%2Fatt.yahoo.com%2F&HOSTNAME=loginprodx.att.net&AUTHNLEVEL=&FAILREASON=&PROTOCOL=https&OLDSESSION=

I can log into my att&t email  via yahoo using https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=us in both chrome and firefox so seems an issue with the loginprodx.att.net login page.

Also see several other reported similar issues so not sure I agree no one else has reported the issue. See link below there are others too.

@sgfrva its actually not a problem with loginprodx.att.net as you can see in the thread that you linked. The URL needs more information so it knows what to do. But as I also said in the other post, it doesnt really matter if you login through yahoo or AT&T it is all the same place since yahoo is the host.

yes I know there is a complete URL not just loginprodx.att.net I just did not paste it all in here to save space. Reasonably one would assume if each login page (att vs yahoo) ends up in the same place after login then that just bolsters the point that something has changed with the att page if I can get in with the yahoo login page but not the att login page. again this just started yesterday I have been using this account and that att login page for a very long time with no issues. A thoughtful answer not a defensive one would nice.

It was not a defensive answer. I was just making the point that its all the same just in different wrappers. And I will add that if you go to https://att.yahoo.com and then click the sign in link on the right, it will take you to the loginprodx page. So yes, something may have changed with the page that requires different information in the URL, but there isnt a problem with the site, just your link. Browse to the site as I listed above and simply update your URL.

I tried that already too so guess you all just won't ever admit you did something that caused an issue....

Hopefully it will mysteriously get corrected the same way it got broke.

at no fault to at&t of course.

@sgfrva I can't admit to something that I have no knowledge of. I just know that I am able to use the loginprodx with no issues by going to att.yahoo.com first. But as I said, it really doesnt matter because you could save the yahoo login link since either site does the exact same thing.

find that the best address to use when logging into an account (including att) on yahoo is mail.yahoo.com.

If I log into my global att signon, and hit check e-mail, it is hit or miss (usually miss) if I try to connect to my att e-mail from there.

SO, hopefully, using the mail.yahoo.com address will alleviate your account log in problems.

I am using mail.yahoo.com with no issues now but is there a way to get it to not redirect back to the att login page that no longer works.

I have been having this problem with Chrome for about 12 days now.  ATT support could not help and in fact when I was able to go around this problem by using Edge they said i need to do it that way.  Appears that they have no solution.
