Email account Hacked/Unknown email added as primary and changed my primary to a sub account - Now I can't access or reset password

I tried to log in to my email account that I have had for 23 years now.  It wouldn't accept my challenge question answers when I tried to recovery my password and then told me it wasn't recognizing my user id.  I received the email for my user id and it shows an unknown email address not at all related to the others was added as primary and changed my email the Primary to a sub account.  Now I can't get access to my email I can't recover or reset my password.  Both the emails on my account end in and the primary is  I need to have that email removed and my email put as primary and access to my email again.  Both my husband and I have had these email addresses for 23 years.  Its not easy just to get a new email address and move on.  I tried to call was told can't help no telephone support for email.  I tried texting support no response.

Are you able to log into your myAT&T account? 


If yes, then start by:


  • Logging into your MyAT&T account.
  • Select the profile option located between log out and the shopping cart.
  • Click View Profile and select Email.
  • Then lastly select Edit and save after updating.

It can take up to 1-3 business days to update but you should be all set after!
