Can't login to Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Finance apps on IOS

I changed my email password. I know it worked because I can access my email with Firefox on Windows and both Safari and the Apple Mail app on both my iPad and iPhone. I use the Yahoo Mail app and the Yahoo Finance app on both my iPad and iPhone and I cannot get them logged back in (they worked fine before I changed my password). I have tried changing the password again, rebooting, removing and reinstalling the apps, and removing the email account and adding it back. I enter my email address and it never asks for my password, it just says "Bad Request". I don't know what else to try.

This is what I get:

We are happy to help, @madmiki73.

We have put together a helpful article on what to do when you can't log into your email account. First, we suggest that you clear your cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again. This may be the reason you are unable to access your email account only through certain devices.

Let us know if this is helpful.

Using Firefox on Windows I can access my account with no problem.

Using both Safari and Apple Mail on iPad and iPhone I have no problem.

I can not log on to the Yahoo Mail app on iPad or iPhone.

I can not log on to the Yahoo Finance app on iPad or iPhone.

I enter my email address but they do not ask for my password, they return the bad request message.

I was helped by using VPN for such a situation.

Banikaton

Thank you for your suggestion. I had never used a VPN outside of work. I did go and read how to use one on my iPad, selected a free one to try and installed it and it seemed to work fine. I then tried to log on to the Yahoo Mail app and the Yahoo Finance app but I got the same result, both came back with bad request after I entered my email address. Thank you but this did not work. It was worth trying.

patrick101 I did try a VPN just to see if I could log in after Banikaton suggested it but it did not work.

I have talked with ATT customer support and they say it is not their problem since I can get in through Firefox, Safari, and Apple Mail. They say go to Yahoo. Hard to find any support from Yahoo, I have emailed them twice, the first they sent me a canned article about login problems, the second I have not heard anything from them yet.

Not willing to pay for support, at least until I exhaust all other avenues.

Thank you for your suggestions.

My email domain is @att.net. My email server settings work fine, I can access my email using a web browser or Apple Mail. I cannot get logged in using the Yahoo Mail app (IOS) and I cannot get logged in to the Yahoo Finance app (IOS). This started after I changed my email password.

@madmiki73

It's likely that the apps still have the Secure Mail Key linked to your credentials. Please uninstall and re-install both Yahoo! apps on both devices, then try signing in. Let us know if you were successful or not.

Okay I tried that and still got the same result. As I recall the secure mail key is used in place of your password and I do not get that far. I enter my email address, click next, and get the "bad request" message. They never ask for a password.

As a follow up I agree this is a Yahoo app problem and I have tried to get an answer from Yahoo. The first time I got the canned "Fix problems signing in to your Yahoo account" message which did not help. I rated the Yahoo Finance app low on the Apple app store, got a nice please send us more information email (probably an automated canned response to a low rating). I sent 2 more messages with no responses. I guess I will uninstall both Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Finance apps, I can not log into them any more.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
