Can't access .xyz websites unless turn off ATT Internet Security

Hi

There are a few .xyz websites I am trying to access. When I try, I get: "This site cant be reached. ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED"

It doesnt matter what browser I use, I get this error.

I went on the Smart Home app on my phone and disabled ATT Internet Security.

Now I am able to access the sites. When I turn the security back on, I cant access them.

I dont think I can add the websites to Exceptions list because it isnt saying the website was blocked because of ATT security. It just gives me the error above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This is nuts, so many amazing websites using .xyz, there's no way AT&T should be censoring websites or domains like this.

Ya I am hoping someone at ATT can help figure out whats going on.

If not, I guess I am just gonna have to disable ATT security permanently

Didnt work.

There are .xyz websites I cant access unless I turn off ATT security.

Here is the message:

This site can’t be reached

lostpoets.xyz unexpectedly closed the connection.

Try:

  • Checking the connection
  • Checking the proxy and the firewall
  • Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

@twooten1105 Try flushing your computer's DNS cache.

Sometimes the domain name in the cache points to an incorrect or old IP address and the website won't return the correct information.

Here are the steps to flush the DNS on Windows:

  • Press the Windows Key
  • Type cmd
  • Right-click the Command Prompt shortcut
  • Select Run as Administrator
  • In the command prompt, type ipconfig /release
  • Press Enter
  • In the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
  • Press Enter
  • Close the Command Prompt and attempt to connect to the website

If you need the steps to flush the DNS cache on Mac, or if you're still unable to connect to the website, let us know.

No still doesnt work.

It definitely has something to do with ATT security.

When I disable it, I can connect to the website right away
