Bellsouth.net Email - Sign-in Help, Questions, and Answers

Troubleshooting Bellsouth & SBCGlobal Email Addresses

Announcement

AT&T is making your email experience more secure. A part of this change is a prompt requesting you re-enter your password which may affect your ability to sign-in to your email, especially if you cannot remember your password. You will find steps that will help you address your sign in woes. If you have a mail client, you may need to update your settings with our step-by-step guide. in order to access your email given the change.

Can’t sign in or Forgotten Password:

If you have a current AT&T internet account that is tied to your email, you can change or reset your password by performing the following:

  1. sign in to your AT&T account.
  2. Select Profile > myAT&T sign in Password.
  3. Enter and save your password information.

If you have a free email account, you can reset the password at our email reset page.

  1. Go to Forgot Password page.
  2. Enter your User Name/ email address.
  3. Enter your Last Name.
  4. Follow the prompts.

If you are unable to change your password using the steps above, please chat with us. Please note, if you are unable to verify the account, we will be unable to reset your password. Think about it this way, if someone contacted us pretending to be you and did not know the security questions, would you want them to have access?

Heads Up: If the last name on the record does not match, the password reset option may not work. If you have an old billing statement, please verify what name you used.

I can see my email from my IPhone, and it takes my password just fine.  But I need to email with some attachments from my laptop, but cannot get it to take the password and go around in circles proving I am not a robot.  What has happened to cause laptop access to disappear and how can I access my sbcglobal email from my laptop??

This did not work for me.  Whether I use att or yahoo for the server, it says my email or password is incorrect.  I know it is not becuase I use it to log on to https://mail.yahoo.com/?.partner=sbc#mail

The support team on phone, chat and in person have all tried the settings as well and could not get my email to work on my mobile devices. I tried Yahoo app,and iphone app.  What other apps can I use for mobile email? Or do I just need to change providers?

I have 2 bellsouth.net email accounts and I have used one for all my ordering things and confirmation emails and 2 weeks ago I was somehow locked out of my account because I put in my log in stuff as usual but it kept saying I was putting in it wrong.  I clicked forgot password and it said it was sending my a temporary password but what they did was actually lock my wife out of our regular account for paying the bill and when we got the temporary pass word she can get in to pay the bill but I still can't get into my email. Please help.

When I tried to access my bellsouth.net E-mail on my Iphone and my desktop computer on Saturday, Jan 6 I received a message telling me that I needed to log-in.  I did this on my Iphone and on my desktop and got an error message that my password was incorrect.  I know I put in the correct password, so I assumed Yahoo was prompting me to update my password.  I tried to change my password on Yahoo but it wouldn't allow me to without verifying through my phone that the E-mail belonged to me.  This is a problem because my bellsouth.net account is 19 years ago and it's not linked or attached to my current cell phone.  19 years ago this bellsouth.net account was linked to my home phone number, and when I tried to enter that number Yahoo didn't recognize it.  It appears that my E-mail address isn't linked to anything that Yahoo can identify so I am unable to access my E-mail or reset my password.  How can I reset my password?
