att.net email requires password reset every time I log in

How do I stop having to enter a new password every time I log in. I use the same password each time and each time I get a notice from att that my password has been reset. This has been going on ever since I set up a new email address, using att.net, and I am really tired of it. How can I prevent this from happening every day?

We'd love to help you with your email sign in concern, @txbev.

What device are you using? Did you save the password on the device?

We suggest that you clear cache on your device, update your browser, refresh your device, reset your email password and save it on your device to see if that helps.

Let us know if you need further assistance or if you need anything else!

We are happy to help @txvev. It seems that your browser settings on IE-11 is not remembering your passwords.  It could be that it is keep some cookies that are causing your issue.

You might try clearing your cache and cookies and forgetting passwords for all time.

Please let us know if that helps.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

@ATTHelp -- I have cleaned the cache and all cookies, and it did not help.

After logging in, this is the page I get: https://loginprodx.att.net/commonLogin/igate_edam/login.do -- This makes me log in again, and enter a "new" password (I've just entered the same one I used to get to that page) and then I get to the email.

That is the same page I've been getting. There has to be a way to log in, and then go directly to the mail.

Appreciate any help you can provide.

@txbev

Please try signing in to your AT&T email with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox so we can determine if the problem is solely with the IE browser.

It's been happening to me too--on Chrome, Firefox, and even my iphone. It doesn't matter if I enter the same password--sooo annoying!

We're here to assist with your email password, @roxanne421!

Have you cleared the cache and cookies of your browser/device? Doing this can clear any settings that may be causing the issue to occur. You can do so by finding the steps for your respective browser/device in our article that covers Clearing your browser's Cache and Cookies.

While you do that, can you let us know if you are seeing any error code ro anything of the sort? The more information we have, the better we can assist.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Oh, yes, I've done that (and make it a habit of doing so). The other thing is, even if I've just logged in once (using the correct password), I get a notice saying that I've logged on too many times and then I have to click "forgot password" and get a link to change it. I just change it to the same one everytime and it lets me in. So annoying!

I have same problem.  The detail error says I have tried to sign in too many times, I guess ONCE is too many.  It occurs every 2 weeks over the last year.  The 2 weeks is because that is the checkbox - (keep me signed in for 2 weeks).  This expires, then entering the password again won't work.  You have to go through reset hassle.  "clearing cache" etc has NOTHING to do with it.  I think it might be an issue with having the yahoo mail app on my phone, and accessing via yahoo on the computer.

Nothing to do with where you use the app, mine happens using my laptop. It's terribly annoying!

ATT, pls. fix this!
