AT&T Website

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am with the AT&T website? I spent 8 hours yesterday and so far 2 hours today not with getting my need met but maneuvering all of the land mines and roads to nowhere built into the AT&T tech support response and telecommunications system, including the robot “Virtual Assistants“ that are absolutely useless. I never got a solution to my problem yesterday.  Today I find myself falling into more rabbit holes at every turn, mainly due to security controls requiring user IDs and passwords. But that’s not the problem. This is: The website and app continually thwart users from getting to where they need to go by throwing up a barrage of error messages claiming that contact information is incorrect when it is not or “something has gone wrong” which sends users spiraling into a vicious loop caused by AT&Ts incorrect interpretation of contact information. Steps and instructions are extremely unclear and non user-friendly. Am I the only one who thinks so? Hurry and reply before they block this message.

Hi @JollyProphet, we can help if you lost your email password and want to reset it, or if you know your password but want to change it.

Even though you might get your email at currently.com, you'll always manage your email password on att.com (myAT&T).

Often, the password you use to sign in to your email and myAT&T are the same.

So, if you change your password for your email, your AT&T user ID password will change, too.

Tip: While you're at it, now is a great time to:

If you’re like most people, you have email apps that let you read and manage email on your computer and mobile devices.

  1. For your security, we suggest you only use email apps with an email technology known as Open Authentication or OAuth.
  2. OAuth encrypts your username and password to protect your info from hackers and fraudsters.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!
