AT&T Arris NVG510 U-verse Modem Router 4 Port

Signed up with AT&T they mailed me this Arris NVG510 U-verse Modem Router 4 port. Things went well for some months. (use ethernet) Around September 20, 2015 started having problems with Roku and internet. The connection slowed down kept reloading or retrieving then just stopped working. Called AT&T and over the course of two week there has been about eight visits by 5 indoor/outdoor technicians. They say there's problems with the wiring and have been making repairs. Am told if I get this new AT&T modem will have to a monthly rental fee. Think it's crazy when I paid around $100 bucks for this modem and it hasn't even been a year. I also noticed my TV reception went wacky at the same time. I don't have cable just using an antenna to pick up local stations. Pictures on TV keep pixelating. Have to keep moving the antenna now since this problem started. Any suggestions?
