About att.net, bellsouth.net & sbcglobal.net email account.

Dear AT&T Team, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy! :)

This is Jay, I'm working for Spectrum.

Many of my clients always ask me questions about their email accounts, what will happen with their email address? if they switch to another internet provider?

My understanding is, If a customer will not owe anything to AT&T then their email address will be permanently active, Am I right?

Heya, I'm a non contracter employee from AT&T, I can definitely say that when they cancel their internet services or switch their service provider, their member ID/ Email address only converts to what we call a Free Member ID, these emails the users can still use permanently and can sign into their emails with no issues, the only downside about this is that if they attempt to troubleshoot their email issues, AT&T no longer is responsible over troubleshooting through a Customer Service Representative (CSR), so if they attempt to contact us and have any issues with the email, we can only help them by going thru articles on att.com. Hope this gives you an answer!
