2FA & Account Security page blank
My sbcglobal.net account was hacked but fortunately, I did not lose control over the account. I have changed my password but want to add an additional layer of security. I found instructions for adding two-step verification or a Yahoo account key. Both of these are supposed to be created from the Account Security page but when I go to this page it is totally blank.
I have attempted this from two different browsers. I saw other complaints about this blank page on this forum also but no real answers.
Does Yahoo/sbcglobal.net no longer support 2FA or this Yahoo security key?
If this is still supported functionality how does one turn it on as the Yahoo instructions send you to this blank page.

One of the best ways to secure your Sbcglobal account and prevent future hacks is to Create a secure mail key. If you'd rather use Open Authentication, learn more about it with this article on Using OAuth for email apps.
In the middle, you'll find a chart that shows which email programs and apps use OAuth. For your security, we suggest that you only use email clients with that technology.

How does a secure mail key help prevent someone from logging in to the mail.yahoo.com web site with my user name if they have phished my password? I thought that was one of the benefits of 2FA.
I am fine using a secure mail key but don't understand how this would be used with the web interface to email provided by Yahoo at mail.yahoo.com.
It sounds like you have discontinued both 2FA and Yahoo security keys meaning that the web site access is only protected by the user name and password.
Please advise how to secure the mail.yahoo.com web site as that is how I was hacked over the weekend. Thank you.

Since your account has already been compromised, we suggest that you install the the AT&T Internet Security Suite. That combined with the secure mail key should keep your email account safe going forward.
It comes with features such as virus protection, hack prevention, computer security management and more. The service is free for AT&T customers, as long as you're on an Internet tier of 3Mbps or higher.
When it comes to the security of the Yahoo! website, you'll have to reach out to their support team for assistance. We can help you with securing your email account and give you the tools avoid being compromised, but the website itself is out of our control.
