Can I use my AT&T Hotspot abroad? If so, what are the fees and how do I connect it to networks internationally?

Through my business, I have a new A&T Netgear hotspot, unlimited data, but not paid off.  Can I take it abroad to get internet and if so, what are the charges and how do I set it up?  Or is it locked to AT&T?  As it is, I usually make do with a local data and cell service eSIM on my phone wherever I go, but the Netgear would probably provide a faster connection in many places.

Hey there @LSKOHN, we'd be happy to answer your questions regarding traveling internationally and accessing your mobile hotspot.

To answer your question, if mobile hotspot data is included in your current plan, then you're eligible to use while traveling aboard. Though, be aware international charges will apply to your plan.

Be advised, mobile hotspot data is included in the International Day Pass. This requires a compatible device and a compatible domestic plan. The International Day Pass simply treats international usage as domestic and your domestic rate plan must allow tethering. Adding this pass to domestic plans that do not allow tethering will not provide international mobile hotspot data.

We hope this information was helpful, and thanks for reaching out to the AT&T Community for assistance.
