WIFI stops constantly or buffers

It is absolutely ridiculous that we are paying for internet that doesn't even work 90% of the time! I live in the country so I can't get spectrum and can't get HughesNet because DirecTV doesn't provide that. Every single time I try to watch Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access, etc. on my Smart TV WIFI stops working or my show constantly buffers! WIFI also goes out every time it rains or there is a storm, and randomly goes out at different times every single day. I have to use my data on my phone most of the time. Does anyone have any suggestions????

What kind of service do you have? Is it wireless broadband, DSL? What are your supposed speeds? A little more detailed info would be helpful.

Your service has nothing to do with At&t. That’s like blaming ford for your Chevy camaros performance 🤦

@natjean If Exede is your ISP and you get those kinds of speeds, then that's Exede's issue not AT&T's. Your WiFi speeds are dependent on the incoming internet speeds. You basically have lousy internet service.

Hello @natjean

Let’s discuss your internet,

When AT&T Internet is not available at a customer’s address, or when AT&T Internet maximum speed is 1.5 Mbps or less, we may offer one of our preferred satellite internet providers.

We recommend visiting Exceeds support page for additional assistance all though we can offer some basic internet troubleshooting steps.

We will want to review the environment your modem is in. There are many common mistakes that can affect your Wi-Fi signal and cause a handful of different issues.

To ensure you Wi-Fi is healthy and optimized we recommend the following

  • Keeping the modem free and clear of electronics
  • Moving the modem off the floor and placing it on a hard surface
  • Plugging the modem directly into a wall outlet
  • Having the modem out in the open for proper air circulation

We hope this helps @natjean, please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
