Wifi not working

Just today i started getting an error 404 message on my phone and i cannot conect to the internet at all. However Im on my pc right now and it says im not connected but i can use google. My Xbox and ps4 cannot connect through the WiFi through Ethernet or wireless. On the Xbox it will give me an option to further authenticate then I’ll select it but it sends me to a black screen saying it’ll close when I connect but I never do. When I click on the troubleshooting link it gives me another 404 message. I STILL need help thank you.

We can help you, @gabetrostle2020!

The 404 error you're experiencing is when the server can't be reached, usually because the website has been removed but there are a few things we can check if that's not the case.

  • Clear history in the browser
  • Try a different browser
  • Make sure you are using the secured page if it exists (https)
  • Check another device to determine if it's the Wi-Fi, website or device

If all of this checks out, has anything in the network changed? We have seen this error most commonly appear when an Orbi router is on the network. If this is the case, there are settings in the Orbi that can be changed to resolve the issue. We would recommend contacting Orbi for help if needed.

If you have any other questions, let us know!

I’m not using an Orbi but the WiFi works on our phones and only one computer via Ethernet cable but it’s really slow. Everything else wired or not needs “further authentication”(Xbox One) so I cant connect to Xbox live either. It’s weird because it was working the other day and the bill is paid off.

Sorry, I'm not replying with a solution. But I am experiencing the same thing. It is CONSTANTLY disconnecting!! I'm curious to see what other people suggest that you do. I hope that your issue is resolved, because I know that it's infuriating to be paying over $200 a month for service that does NOT stay connected!

@gabetrostle2020 Thanks for the update!

Since our basic troubleshooting options didn't resolve this, we suggest that you run diagnostics on your service with the Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool.

Be sure to sign in first so that the options are specific to your equipment, then select the Internet tab to get started.

Let us know how it goes! We'll be here if you need further assistance.
