Why am I being charged on my bill? I have ACP.

I have been enrolled with the affordable connectivity program for going on 5 months now and haven't received a bill since until today when I checked my emails and received a notification claiming I owe $49/$28 for January and February. I'm very confused as to why this instance occurred without my knowledge or approval.

Would you mind telling us:

- Are you on the AT&T Access program and have an Access service? if not:

- What service you have (i.e. what bandwidth)?

- What that service would cost if you didn't have ACP?

You could attach a picture of your bill (please cover up your account number, name and address) for even more clarity.

(Be advised that you've posted on a community forum primarily peopled by other customers.  An AT&T Customer Support rep may or may not ever reply to this post.)

I am on the ACP plan, and my internet service is through ATT I would have originally had to pay $30 but was dropped to $0 after qualifying under the ACP program. I even had an ATT technician do a service in which I did not request where they came to my home and upgraded my internet speed for no cost. Their reason for this was that when Internet is provided in a neighborhood for instance the more people in that neighborhood using ATT service somehow makes everything run faster/smoother so they visited my neighborhood to upgrade everybody who was purchasing internet through ATT. That is kind of irrelevant information considering what my issue is regarding so sorry to get off track. I will provide a picture in the next comment.

Probably an upgrade from copper/DSL to Fiber.  Yeah, I was going to get one at "no cost", too.  The upgrade didn't cost any money, but the monthly bill was definitely higher.  I had to make some phone calls and stayed with it until they fixed my billing.

Like mine, I'm betting the change order for your account that went in for the fiber upgrade didn't specify that you would be on a $30/month service on Fiber.  So, yeah, let's get a picture of your new bill.

What is in the "Activity since last bill"?  Hit the PLUS sign beside it and let's see.

My internet service through ATT is free under the ACP plan, and I received an unexpected upgrade in internet speed by an ATT technician visiting my neighborhood.

@AnneGodkoyj , okay... is there something about that you'd like help with or are you just confirming OP's experience?

This still doesn't make much sense.  What do you get if you click the "Download bill" button?
