One, how do I stop AT&T junk mail from being sent to my house?
Two, the reason I want it stopped is AT&T put me in collections for their mistake and so far won't own up to it. Whenever you try to talk someone all they will tell you is that they don't have a record of the account in question. Why don't they have a record of the account in question? Here's what they did...
Upon moving we sent a request to AT&T to stop service at our current address and start service at the new address in two weeks. This was confirmed. What happened? AT&T in their infinite wisdom stopped service after one week so we had to call them back to get it turned back on but in order to do that they insisted they had to create a new account. Seriously??? OK, whatever just turn the service back on. So we get the service turned on and when we move a week later they obviously messed something up during that process because there was no service at the new place so we had to call them again to have the old one stopped and the new one started. What did AT&T do? They insist again that they have to create a new account at the new place. OK, this is stupid but OK, just turn our service on and stop it at the old address. So a month or so goes by and our bill shows up and another and another. Seriously??? Yes, AT&T in their infinite wisdom was charging us for three accounts! Now we're in collections because they never stopped service on our old address like they said they were going to and continued to charge us for it.
So to conclude I wouldn't use AT&T's service if it was free much less $19.99 a month. Until you right a wrong you're responsible for, AT&T, you couldn't pay me to use your service! Further, this account will remain in collections until I die as you will never, ever see another penny from me!
