Received a Balance Due email for $30.00 I paid my bill last Wednesday

Received a Balance Due email yesterday for $30.00 I paid my bill last Wednesday.  I have ACP and the accounting Department Software needs to be updated.  When I log in, I have NO balance due.  The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at AT&T!

Let us address your concern about the balance due email, Acquisti.

 

The email should indicate that it can be disregarded if a payment has already been made.

 

If your payment was accepted, applied to your account, and you see a zero balance, you shouldn't have to make another payment. You can always call the AT&T ACP Center at 866-471-0361 for confirmation.

No it does not say that it can be disregarded.  The emails says I have a balance due.  But when I login it says I have a Zero (0) balance.  Why did I get this email???  This isn't right, and I shouldn't be getting emails like this.

Me too! I received this same notice. However, I was not careful and clicked through to my account from the email. Now I'm convinced it was phishing and I've been compromised. Help!

Maybe it is maybe it isn't.  Haven't gotten anymore.  I think because I just got ACP, that the left hand didn't know what the right hand is doing in the AT&T Accounting Department.  Change your password.  Never click on a link.  Start a new tab and go to the site directly by typing in the address.  When I right click on who it is from, the email looks real, can't tell for sure.

Your welcome.  Will see what happens next month after paying.  If another one shows up we can assume AT&T Accounting Department software isn't working the way it should.

It’s not a scam. I get these monthly from AT&T and it makes no sense (I’m on autopay). They cannot explain why they come and my account is paid in full. The emails are actually from AT&T though and not a phishing attempt. It makes no sense.

I paid this morning and then this afternoon, I get a email that says I have a balance due.  Like I said, the Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in the Accounting Software Department.  AT&T has never had a handle on bills and emails.  They need to fix their software.
