Questions about installation for Internet or Fiber: digging in yard? interference with alarm system?

Hi, I have questions about both the AT&T Internet or AT&T Fiber internet options. We have AT&T phone only, and are interested in adding Internet or Fiber internet (Fiber IS available in my zip code). However, I have a couple of questions. For either of these internet options, would digging in our yard be required? For either of these options, would there be any potential interference with our alarm system? We considered AT&T DSL (about the year 2005), but at the time AT&T said it would interfere with our alarm system, so we would need to get a new alarm system that wouldn't interfere. Thanks for answering my questions. JT in Indianapolis, IN

Hi @jonathanindy1 , we are really glad to see you would like to add this amazing AT&T service to your home, we will be more than glad to help you as much as possible with this process, right now I know our of my experience that in most cases with AT&T Fiber or U-verse High Speed Internet the cabling that goes into the house is buried which requires some  digging if it has not been done in the past or if it has to be replaced to ensure the best quality of your service, right now I could not assure you that this services would not interfere in any way with your current alarm system however I do know that the DSL service is quite different than the two services in question and our services have had a big development in the past years which leads me to believe it is likely that this time around there will be no interference. Please feel free to follow up with any further questions you have, we will be more than glad to help, if you have any account specific inquiries please use a Private Mesage to us instead for the security of your personal account information
