Sheesh! This is a public forum so questions like that can not be answered here. You need to take it up with the collection agency. And please don't post private information publically. 2015?

at&t has no legal authority or information on your account, when its sold all records of your account are purged certainly after 5 years, the colection agency is your only contact here.

Now let me give you a few words of advice on credit as ive made the same mistake before

your account has been on your credit report for 5 years and slated to drop off in 2 years, if you pay the debt, there are 2 things that will happen

1) it will ony change from an outstanding balance to paid but still a bad debt which is slightly better than unpaid, 0 to 1 point increase in your score

2) and the most important, the 5 year clock will start back to 0 from the last activity on the debt making it stay on your credit 7 years from the date you pay it.

my advice is let it drop off in 2 years or possibly less depending on the state you live in.

While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.
