NorthLane Refund Card By ATT a Scam

I received a refund from ATT for canceling service due to moving by means of a prepaid Mastercard debit card. Cant activate it online, Northlane activation phone number and customer service number "cannot be completed at this time". Spent about 2 hours on the phone with ATT being transferred back and forth between customer service, billing, and rewards department, all saying I need to talk to the department I just talked to. This is an overpayment I made and in my mind is theft and a scam, and is just frustrating.

It is so a scam. I got a refund through AT&T on a Northlane card and I can't activate it. I tried my new zip code and the zip code that the service was at and it would not work. Called AT&T and they can't do anything, and advised to go to a physical AT&T location to get the refund. Which I have to spend time out of my day to do. Super frustrating. At first I was sad that AT&T didn't service my area, but now with this mess I will never use them or recommend them again.

Yep, I just tried to activate mine. This is emblematic of how crappy AT&T’s service is. How they are handling the refunds gives me yet another reason to never consider using ANY of their products again. I think I’ll just file this away. I see this scam either getting attention from the government or a lawyer sniffing out a (Edited per community guidelines) suit. Good luck AT&T!

I like all the other thousands of people that have commented on post or like it, am a victim of this ATT scam.  I attempted to activate my card online as stated on the card, by visiting “LOGIN.NORHTLANE.COM/ACTIVATE”.  The way that this scam works is that they don’t allow you to create a login, for me I kept receiving the message that my password must be at least 8 characters with at least one letter and one number.  Of course, fit these rules but no matter what I entered I received the same message.
So ATT's scam is to make it virtually mpossible to receive your money, the refund each of us is owed.  They hope everyone just gives up.

If you have a REFUND coming after you end service, the default refund will be in the form of a Prepaid DEBIT Card.
1.  How do you keep track of the remaining balance (what a pain!!).

2. Card charged you $3.00/month for each month you don't use it.

The "default" should be that they just SEND ME A CHECK!!!!

My advice is to immediately activate it online and immediately use it to buy gift card value at Amazon.com or some online merchant.

I'm having the same issues and i've tried the email links below (they are no longer valid). What's the next step? I'm on the phone with AT+T help, they advised me to call them. When I call I get hung up on because my card number isn't valid.

I have been trying to get a refund from ATT since June, 2023. I finally received a debit card from Northlane and it is blocked. I was told that I would receive a check 7 to 10 days but still nothing. I’m 77 years old and would like my refund before I die.

If you can't get satisfaction through Northlane's customer service number at the hours posted, open a BBB complaint.

I too received a credit card from Northlane and have tried to get this card activated.  No matter which email I enter, none appear to work.  Calling Northlane is worthless - they know nothing from nothing.  My AT&T account was carried under [email scrubbed], but no matter how many times I enter this email address, they state this doesn't conform to their address for me.  Frustrating doesn't begin to describe how I feel about AT&T.
