no service available at address

My new construction home is nearly finished but I cannot find internet service.  There are 3 very large AT&T underground cable boxes on the street behind me.  My address is not in the database so no one will help me.

It may be as the company normally places equipment on the edge of the area being serviced.

An example would be if the company was providing service is a 6x6 block area... the main equipment would be along one of the edges, not in the middle of the coverage area. From one side of coverage to the other could be 5000 ft (about 1 mile) with addresses closer to the main box would have faster speeds (100 or 75)due to less copper loss while those on the other side may see 25 or less such 18 or 10 provided as a remote terminal.

The question is still who services the addresses on your street and at what speed tier as these will be the options available to you.

Compare Duluth to the 5 largest cities in the US

City Average Download Speed Number of Providers Average Cost per Mbps
Duluth 124.6 Mbps 12 $0.27 ( + $0.00 )
New York 415.4 Mbps ( +290.8 Mbps ) 15 ( +3 ) $0.54 ( + $0.00 )
Los Angeles 118.9 Mbps ( -5.7 Mbps ) 17 ( +5 ) $0.26 ( $0.00 )
Chicago 116.2 Mbps ( -8.4 Mbps ) 15 ( +3 ) $0.29 ( + $0.00 )
Houston 127.4 Mbps ( +2.8 Mbps ) 23 ( +11 ) $0.26 ( $0.00 )
Philadelphia 127.6 Mbps ( +3 Mbps ) 8 ( -4 )

My thoughts, I just read your last line again.  " 1.1 million Fixed Wireless antenna system installed by DirecTv. "  How do I find out about that?

ATT Fixed Wireless is available in select rural areas where not feasible to provide hardwired service. The addresses, available in 18 states, where awarded to ATT as part of CAF-II funding many years ago, with the last 220,000 addresses provided in 2020.

When checking your address online, if eligible for ATT Fixed Wireless would list as so...

https://www.att.com/internet/fixed-wireless/

Uses an antenna system locked to local ATT cellular tower installed by DirecTv tech ($99), using band 30... offers similar speeds would see from a HOMEBASE hotspot that uses a different band from same tower.

There are other providers that offer Fixed Wireless besides ATT, perhaps you might qualify for one of their programs...

Enter your zip code in the above link to find ISP options for your zip code (area) that may or may not cover your address.

It appears CBN or Community Broadband Network offers Fixed Wireless to about 25% of addresses within 30096 zip code.

Note... EarthLink is a reseller of ATT internet services. Installed and maintained by ATT employees but you pay and go thru EarthLink for any order or problems with service... cannot call ATT direct if EarthLink customer.
