Network security key

I changed our home network's name & password with the Smart Home Manager, and now I've been asked for my network security key. What is that, and where do I find it?

Network Security Key = WiFi Password. The default password is on a label on your gateway. If you've changed it to something else, use that.

Allow us to share some suggestions that'll help you change the Turbo Hotspot 2 security information @.

Did you change the password for your Wi-Fi security? The router's Wi-Fi name and password are displayed on the AT&T Hotspot 2's home screen.

Check if you can disable the Wi-Fi Security following the instructions on our wireless support page. Use this as a troubleshooting method with hopes of bypassing the password. If successful, you can re-enable the setting after.

Also, you can learn how to reset your Wi-Fi manager log on admin password.

Please let us know if these resources provide you the assistance needed to modify the security key.

Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums Teams.

I got a blue screen saying that my system was shut down due to a bitlocker error. After trying what I saw on 10 different YouTube videos I decided the do a full recovery, but my laptop is asking for me Network security key. I don’t know what that is or where to find it.

One answer was “Network Security Key = WiFi Password. The default password is on a label on your gateway”. There were 6 sets of numbers on my modem: 3 on back and 3 on bottom, none of which said Network Security Key. What is it named on the modem? I also tried my password that I changed it to with no success.

Which AT&T gateway model do you have?

The answer above is to explain when Windows asks for a Network Security Key, they're asking you for the wifi password.  The labels on all of the AT&T gateways I've seen just call it Wifi Password or in the case of the BGW320, just Password.
