Most bizarre chat and useless phone interaction w AT&T
This is just unbeleivable! I've had AT&T Internet and phone (now IP) for 22 years. I just got a bill for nearly double what I've been paying. A AT&T tech came here because Internet was not working for eight days. The speed somehow got lowered from 12 Mbps to 6. It quit again completely after 40 minutes. Another tech came out and it worked for a few hours. I just noticed the speed was increased to 10 and a few hours later to 18 - with NO authorization AT ALL from me. I certainly did NOT request a speed change.
The chat was the most bizarre I've ever experienced. I repeated my concern to each of three people that I was transferred to. They couldn't seem to get it together, repeating from a script that had nothing to do with my concern, and they obviously didn't even have an adequate grasp of the English language.
The phone conversation the next day was equally bizarre. They just couldn't seem to get beyond repeating a mindless script that almost seemed to purposely avoid adressing my concern.
AT&T will put themselves out of business with idiocy like this.
