Is this a scam: Changes to your AT&T Email, Website, and Fax Services
Folks,
My email, internet access and web hosting for my personal domain has been provided by AT&T for almost 20 years now. Since early December I've been receiving increasingly urgent emails from a company called Digital Space claiming AT&T is discontinuing this and I need to transfer my web hosting over to them in order to avoid disruption of service. A check online indicates Digital Space is a smallish company out of California with a sketchy track record. I can't find any such announcement on the AT&T website. On top of that, none of my billing statements or similar contacts from AT&T have mentioned any such thing. Normally I'd dismiss this as an outright scam, but Digital Space has been remarkably persistent and consistent with their messaging. Here's a sample message:
AT&T and Digital Space have attempted to contact you via email and phone multiple times over the last 90 days and have been unsuccessful in reaching you. This email is to remind you that as of February 28th, 2023 AT&T will no longer support your domain, website, email, and/or online fax services. It is necessary that you act now to avoid disruption to your business. Please, call AT&T Website Solutions Support line at 1-855-791-8964 and one of our agents will help you transition your services from AT&T to Digital Space.
Is anyone else receiving these emails? Is it legit or an elaborate trawling expedition? Thanks!

I'm not so sure this isn't legit. In fact, I'm reasonably sure it is quite legit. What sort of service do you have with AT&T around website hosting?
See https://webhosting.att.com/transition_FAQ
This message is pretty clear, too:

@jblaschke , I'm pretty sure you'll need to look into this further. Do let us know what you find out.
