Internet Support at AT&T is horrific plus they have a idiot of a Chat with Virtual (Edited)istance that darn thing knows nothing!

I've been an AT&T customer since 1975 45 years that a long time for us old folks. I had the old rotary phones they would provide to their customers and I still have the same number. Now I only have Home Phone and Internet. That's enough. A few years back I had them do something my son helped them because I don't know much about technical stuff. They came out and switched my Phone from being connected to the outside box going to the Phone Lines, now it's connected to my Modem/Router. So the last 5-6 years this equipment that ATT had us rent from them it's called a 2-wire Gateway Router made with a Pace Modem. So first I want to say I very upset that AT&T gave me a router/modem years ago almost 10 year or so that customer don't like so many bad reviews all over the web you can search for it It's call 2-wire Gateway 5268AC just search for that and you will see what I see and many others see. My son did more researching that Modem/Router AT&T has been having so many issues with that Router it unbelievable that a Billion dollar company would stoop that low with and give their customer that Router. I'm not rich I always like the most inexpensive plans. That's what I do, now that my son is paying My AT&T and other bills he has a switch in him that turns negative everytime we have problems with AT&T. He deals with it because I can't anymore. My son is ready for change he wants to rip all AT&T equipment phone lines and through it in the street. He's upset the way AT&T has treated me all these years 45 years with a company that is not respectful lies, promises equipment and tech service and it never happens even though you have prof in transcripts and emails found on AT&T. But I discussed that on a different Forum on ATT. These customer service, Technician Support for AT&T is all the way in India the Country I almost lost it years ago speaking to a man over their. These people in that country have no patience, their rude, they hang up on you, they tell you deal with it. I can't take it I guess ATT doesn't respect their Customers who have been with them for 45 years and let alone us other people to are have the same issues I'm having. If I new what I know now years ago I would have changed providers long ago. You can't ever get an American to answer the phones at ATT, my son is the person who chats with the Virtual chat box, and he hates it that lady never answers his question tells him my son to rephrase the question. The apps on the Iphone myatt.com and smart home don't help you at all. So now I get know were with ATT. Promises so many I'm so sorry for what your going through with our service. Bull(Edited per community guidelines) ATT just wants to give their customers and when they no that their customers are old the screw them over, BYE THE WAY MY MOM ISN'T TYPING ANYMORE it's her son Dennis. These (Edited per community guidelines) at ATT are all a piece of (Edited per community guidelines) I have transcript after transcript of Chats that they promise the world never happens. They promised a new Router/Modem Motorola last week they sent me the same old one I have same model 5268AC Gateway this (Edited per community guidelines) needs to stop this company need a (Edited per community guidelines) and I hope people on this forum reads this and many of us can get together and sue the (Edited per community guidelines) out of ATT. Finally I had it Today I got on that Chat, today i spoke to another man who was apologizing left and write. I told him off. He finally respected what was happening to my Family and my Home. He scheduled me an appointment with a Senior Tech for this Tuesday the 9th in the morning that what they have been saying all month long. Hopefully it happens I have all the confirmation emails and Text plus the transcripts. This agent on chat said they will give us the Motorola BGW Router/Modem that we want he had to go speak to several people I guess that what he said so finally I hope this happens and we get ride of this Cheap Router/Modem 5268AC I can but that same model on internet for $10-$20 dollars some sites even cheaper plus this router 5268AC was made more than 10 years ago probably when my mom got it. This company doesn't offer anything for all the disgrace they did to my family especially my mom who takes everything as a grain of salt. If Tuesday doesn't happen and I have to call in and they tell me theirs nothing on my account showing an order for a new router. I will end everything that same day first I will speak to my Attorney not my parents attorney I will file a (Edited per community guidelines) I have all the prof I will sue the (Edited per community guidelines) out of them. They hire cheap labor in India that why the company is going downhill. I'm still giving them the benefit of the dought. But trust me Tuesday better happen the 9th, Watch out for me ATT im not my mom i will (Edited per community guidelines) you guys up. 45 years with a (Edited per community guidelines)ty company is a lot so they better respect.

Sooooo.....long story short:

Your mom & dad have VOIP and internet and the same modem (5268) they got 10 years ago. A tech is scheduled to come out and bring a different modem on Tues. If no one shows on Tues., they are cancelling.

good lord you set it up ten years ago and agreed to it and 10 years later threaten violence to At&t. Good luck

your a (Edited per community guidelines) don’t tell me that I haven’t had the same modem router for 10 years you don’t understand what my mom has been going through the take her every month and can’t give her service that she need, (Edited per community guidelines) no old modems cheap modem read online about what people are going through! Your most likely a Fan of ATT
