I need help and I don't know what to do

AT&T doesn't care about customers. I have been trying for MONTHS to change the email address on my account, since they entered it wrong and I can't get into my account to pay my bills. But each time I call and they claim to have changed it, it's still wrong. So I can't get into my account to pay, and they keep racking up the late fees when I've explained the problem and how it's not my fault. Last time I called, they said they'd connect me to someone to fix the problem, and I was on hold for OVER AN HOUR until I finally hung up because they weren't going to come help me. Now I have a bill I can't afford to pay, and they probably won't waive it. I can't handle this, I have too many other things to pay for. How do I get someone to care?

Do you have a wireless number assigned to your user ID?


If you do, and you can recover your user ID by text, then you'll want to update the email on file once you're able to get account access. Your email address can be updated by following these steps: 

  1. Go to Profile and then Contact info.
  2. Select the Email tab.
  3. In the User ID (formerly AT&T Access ID) email section, select Edit.
  4. Enter the email and select Save.
