How can I change my Service Address on my Account?

I have recently gotten AT&T Internet installed at my home. I have been an AT&T Mobile customer for more than 15 years. I earlier used to have Internet as well, but since high speed wasn’t available at the time I moved, I had to choose a different service provider. Anyways, My billing address for both mobile and internet services is correct. But, the service address for internet was wrong(I am not sure if someone typed wrong or didn’t validate while saving it). When I try to edit it from the app, it doesn’t give me any option other than “Plan your move”. Apparently, it happened to lot of folks. Can you please help me fix this?

I only see “Manage Profile” option through the app. Then, it prompts me to enter my user id & password. After that, it shows Wireless & Internet options. As mentioned my post, it gives me edit option to change the billing addresses but not service address which is totally wrong. Beside the service address, I see a link that says “Plan your move” that doesn’t let me edit it.

Hey @ugopi_15, we understand that you’re facing issue in updating service address. We’re here to walk through the right path.

There are two addresses associated with AT&T wireless or internet account: a place of primary use (PPU), which determines the tax rates, and the billing address, which is where equipment and correspondence is sent.

To change the PPU:

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile.
  2. Scroll to My linked accounts and look for Contact info.
  3. If you have more than one account, choose your wireless account from the dropdown.
  4. Select Edit next to Billing address.
  5. Scroll to Place of primary use and select the device and number to update.
  6. Enter and save the address info.

To change the billing address:

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile.
  2. Scroll to My linked accounts and look for Contact info.
  3. If you have more than one account, choose your wireless account from the dropdown.
  4. Select Edit next to Billing address.
  5. In the Billing address section, select Edit.
  6. Enter and save the info to get a verification code, or temporary PIN, and verify the change.

If the above-mentioned steps still didn’t help, we’d recommend you to visit nearest AT&T store with valid ID proof so that they can help you in getting the address updated.

let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
