How am I supposed to get internet worth a crap if AT&T has monopolized this area?

I live in rural Alabama. I have a 7 yo who homeschools but 85% old his work had too new done with physical books because we can't have a dependable connection. This mess is SO pathetic, he got an Xbox for Christmas but can't play it! For a year and a half the (Edited per community guidelines) THAT AT&T had pulled with my account is criminal or bordering on it. (it SHOULD be illegal.) Their equipment is garbage, the connection, which brings only 6 MBPs inn pathetic download if it's working, is A(Edited per community guidelines)OLUTE TRASH. WORKERS HAVE LIED TOO ME ANDS STOLEN FROM ME. Even with the they off a modern I paid for, I had to FORCE them to give me a replacement. It's against their own policy to have a tech take out old equipment and they three wanted to give me grief? I live in Verbena, Alabama and need to know if there's any company besides AT&T that provides internet here. And, yes, I've looked online.

There are six ISP that service the zip code, 2 are satellite internet companies that would offer higher speeds. Additional 2 companies offering cellular internet.

I doubt ATT has monopolized the area, most companies such as local cable have to be able to make money or choice not to build.
