Hijacked account, still NO HELP from AT&T!
Last week tried to log into my home internet account. The password didn’t work, so I reset it. When trying to log in with the new password, the system asks to enter code that it sends to the phone. And here is when things go terribly wrong. The number on the file has been altered and has (and had) nothing to do with me. Thus I am not able to log into my account.
I was calling support for 3 days straight. Technical support, Fraud team, Digital support. NOBODY KNOWS how to handle the issue. I was being transferred to “the right department” over and over and over again. I KILLED 3 HOURS of my time and still NO RESULT. AT&T reps would just run a standard script of password reset, then after it didn’t work (which I tell them right away) get stuck and get rid of me by transferring me away. And it’s not that the people are bad, it’s that they have neither training nor resources to resolve complex issues.
At this point the most reasonable step is to CANCEL THE CONTRACT for good.

Let's make sure you can get back into your account, @Akrylov911!
You're going to want to report this unauthorized account access to our fraud management team.
If you have any other questions, just let us know. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums!

Tried, it won't work!!!
Just call 888.471.4576 before suggesting! I did it twice and was told that they don't handle it. When I said that the number had been provided by ATT and it was also listed on official website, they answered that that the info is outdated and transferred me to another department that didn't not what to do with. VICIOUS CIRCLE!
