Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration

I've tried hours to fix it but it just won't work I tried dns and trouble shoot  I've tried command prompt I tried un plugging and plugging my Ethernet back in I tried network reset I've tried to disable and enable my Ethernet I tried deleting my Ethernet I've tried resetting my wifi and it won't work my internet works it's my Ethernet that won't work I think it won't work because my gate way  is blank

Call Att and ask them to perform a line quality test.  

I wouldn’t accept a replacement gateway until they confirm the line to the gateway is working satisfactorily.   If they suggest doing a factory reset, let them do it to get that step out of the way.   

I’d dumb down home network as much as possible during the investigation with Att.
