DSL Speed

I just ran a speed test and the download was 1.19 Mbps upload 0.3 Mbps. We have had many service visits, all concluding that our wire is old and we are almost a mile for the ATT box which is at the end of the service line evidently. Conclusion ATT says it is what it is and there is nothing that can be done. We pay for the faster speeds as well. Worst of all we have had to use cellular for internet and buy the largest wireless plan which is very expensive. The monthly bill runs 300.00/mo.

We are in the same boat. Can't even find out if they have a project plan in place to upgrade service lines. Area is growing, new housing developments get the best speeds but existing customers on old equipment are basically told what you're told. Almost sounds similar to the (Edited per community guidelines) that Pacific Gas & Electric was pulling in California.
