Copyright infringement activity
I received a letter saying that copyrighted material had been uploaded from my IP. When I go to att.com/dmca to see that activity, it requires a passcode. It offers two phone numbers to text the passcode, neither one of them are valid phone numbers for me. How do I specify a different phone number or method of sending the passcode?

We're happy to help you get the passcode to access the AT&T DMCA website, @bobrollins.
So that the passcode can be sent to the correct number, update the phone number on your account. Just follow these steps to update your billing contact information:
Let us know if this helps, of if you're still unable to access the site.

Doesn't work. Passcode phone numbers are still the same phony ones.

Let's take a deeper look into your profile, to make sure that you are able to acknowledge the DMCA requirements, bgrollins.
When it comes to the DCMA acknowledgments, it is requesting you to verify the account identity. If there are phone numbers listed that are not yours, then you will need to edit them. This is how you do that.
The other thing you can do is, that you will need to give our Digital Assistance Center a call at 1-800-288-2020. You will need your AT&T account information when you call. You will selected the option for "Techincal Support" and then you can request to be transfered to the Digital Assistance Center. They should be able to help you with the profile modifactions.
Please update us with the results.
Thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums.

After more than an hour on the phone, they were unable to resolve this. I first contacted the Digital Assistance Center as you suggested. They were unable to help and referred me to Customer Service. After a long search, they determined that I had UVerse service and referred me to Uverse Technical Support. After much searching on many criteria (name, address, phone number, logon id, IP), they were unable to locate an account for me and tried to refer me back to the Digital Assistance Center. They were able to use this information (name, address, ip) to send me a letter alleging copyright infringement, but unable to let me access the alleged copyright data. Is this incompetence deliberate?
