CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003] message
I have had a problem with my email since changing my password on May 25, 2020, I have to log in with user name and password every time I want to view my account. i have checked stay logged in for 2 weeks. Now today, I was locked out for too many attempts to log in. I was on the phone with AT&T for 30 minutes and was told my account was unlocked and I should wait an hour and try again. I waited for an hour and half and I'm still getting the message. Any help??

Having the same issue since 5/27/20 as well. I have tried calling AT&T and they said to wait 6 hours to see if it unlocks itself, I waited 8 hours and no luck. Still having the same issues?! I need help with this as well.!

I have the same problem. I have waited over 24 hours and still cannot get into my account. My email account works fine on my iPhone but when I try it on my deskup Windows 8.1 computer I cannot get logged in. My Yahoo.com account works fine but my ATT.net account does not. Also. I can signin to the Yahoo.com com site (not the email) but I cannot signin to the currently.att.yahoo site. I believe this is the problem, not the email although with not being able to signin to currently.att.yahoo it is not possible to signin to the email on my desktop. What gives AT&T? How can this be fixed? Major problem.

This worked for me so hopefully it will work for you.
Go to “currently.att.yahoo”.
Click on the circle at the upper right hand corner.
This takes you to a screen with several options.
Click on Sign In. This will take you to an Att sign in screen.
Enter your User ID.
If you are absolutely positive of your password, enter it and you should be signed in.
If you are not sure of the password or just want a new one, click on Forgot Password. On the next screen, enter your User ID and then your last name. Then press Continue.
Answer the security questions and press Continue.
Enter a strong password and then confirm it. Press Continue.
On the Password reset success screen press Finish. You should then be signed in.

@ATTHelp Has AT&T looked into all the similar cases yet and came up with any other solutions? It clearly isn't a password issue. Is it not a browser issue - all browsers are reporting the same problem (Safari, Chrome, IE, ). It appears to be that access still works through a phone but not on a computer / laptop. Please let us know what new steps you are doing to troubleshoot the issue! I found at least 3 other forum posts with the same issue reported.

This is absolutely unacceptable!! I have not had access to my email from my desktop in over a month!! Numerous lengthy calls to no avail!! AT&T you should just admit you don't have a clue how to fix it!! At least tell us you are attempting to fix this issue or are you simply ignoring our comments????

I don't know if this is any help, but I accidently found a way in after weeks of this issue frustrating me. (I have an sbcglobal email address which was giving the error 205.2 for AT&T and HBO/DirectTV.)
I just went and created a new @att.net email account which led me to a phone number verification which led to the single user ID that I had set up last year during the "Yahoo mail is going away" email blitz. The system allowed me to either use my new att.net account or the existing single sign in ID that I had created (and forgot about) last year. Now I can sign in to everything with that ID and the password I have reset. It is just a username, not an email address that I sign in with now.
I hope that leads at least someone to a ray of light in the darkness. Good luck!
