Cant connect to a specific server from my home network

Hello

I use a cloud based software that requires I connect to a specific server. But when I try to connect I get an "unable to connect to server" message. I am not having any other online problems and I've already tried restarting my gateway and rebooting my computer and trying different browsers. The problem remains.

When I contacted the software's technical support, they said the problem is likely with my ISP. Here's the text of what the support rep said:

"For technical reasons we are using another domain, which is just a mirror of syndlab.com for redirects from Facebook. And it seems that that mirror site is not available from your network for some reason.

You can test that easily by visiting it. The following link https://auto-serp.com should display exactly what you see on syndlab.com.
If it does work, then it was a temporary issue and you should retry adding your Pages. And if it doesn't work for you, then there is some issue with your ISP, which is preventing you from connecting to that domain.

To make sure that that domain is currently available globally click here: https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/auto-serp.com.html"

I've tried contacting AT&T for help but keep getting nothing but chatbots and troubleshooting apps. But my problem requires human involvement to fix. So here I am. If you have any info that could help out, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks

Billy

If you're using Firefox, you can disable this new DNS feature by going to Options, then scrolling to the very bottom and clicking Settings. At the bottom of that page, make sure the box labeled Enable DNS over HTTPS is not checked.

We also suggest that you make sure there are no settings in your security software that may be interfering and resetting your Gateway in case there are any underlying changes that were made.

Let us know how it went!

We're happy to look into this for you, @billywitt!

What are you using to connect to the server? Have you made sure that DNS over HTTPS is disabled?

Thank you

Im using a program called Syndlab. It needs to connect with Facebook to connect my FB account to my Syndlab account. It connects fine and the connection looks like it’s going to happen. But then on the final step, the screen goes blank and says it cannot connect to the server. You can see the Syndlab tech support response above in my original post.

As far as disabling DNS over https, no I haven’t. I don’t know how to do that. If you have some reference I can follow the steps, then I’ll try it out.

Thanks for your help

Billy

So... what happens when you try to visit auto-serp.com in the browser?

Hmm... this looks like some sort of SEO abuse strategy.  I'm glad it's not working. :)
