Can't Cancel service

What other options do I have to cancel service. I have called multiple times a day and calls are getting disconnected. Even was disconnected mid sentence.

We're sorry to hear that you want to cancel your service with us, @blueman22.

If you're trying to cancel your services without speaking to a representative over the phone, you can check out all of our contact methods and use whichever customer service channel is most convenient for you to receive the assistance you need.

We hope the information helps, and thanks for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.

The same payment method you used to buy the subscription will be charged when your subscription renews. Renewals may start 24 hours before each subscription period starts. If your payment method is declined or has insufficient funds, your subscription may be canceled.

I'm trying to cancel home internet and a landline phone. Not wireless or anything else.

@blueman22 The only way to cancel those services is to call. No other contact method will work for cancelling. If calls aren’t getting results, file an FCC or BBB complaint. The complaint will result in someone from corporate contacting you.

800-288-2020 is the number to call. Say cancel services or loyalty.

We're sorry to hear that you want to cancel your internet & landline service with us, @blueman22. Let's meet in a direct message to see what we can do to make sticking with us the right choice for you.

To that end, could you please provide us with a bit of additional information on why you're wanting to cancel?

  • Did you have a negative experience with your service?
  • Are you currently moving and needing to have your services swapped over to a new address?

Any additional information you can provide will help with ensuring that we're fully addressing your service concerns for you. You should see a direct message (DM) from us at the top right of the page shortly. We look forward to assisting you!

I have called the 1-800 number and said cancellation to the bot that answers the phone. What either happens is he'll say let me transfer and the phone call disconnects or I get some waiting music a person comes on starts to go through my information I tell them cancel and the call disconnects. This has happened over 20 times.

I have the same issue. I just canceled the virtual credit card I used since these companies are notorious for this. If they want to keep billing me for something I've disconnected myself then so be it. The courts can sort this out.

I've have the same issue! Been trying to cancel ever since signing up for business VOIP phone service and realizing that I don't need it! Successfully returned the phone equipment (have confirmation) but continue to get billed (for service and equipment).

The local representative in the San Francisco office, who sold me the goods in the first place, never returns my calls or replies to my emails. The Global representative at the (infamous) 800 number has not been able to help me with this matter. I was advised to go physically to the ATT corporate store but they were unable to help me. They got me on the phone with a representative who was also unable to help me. Looks like there’s no one willing to bite the bullet and make this happen. A very different scenario from the moment I was sold the goods and I had everyone calling and reaching out....

Does ATT think people are this stupid? "Oh, haha, cant cancel except for waiting on hold for hours, I might as well just keep paying!" Screw anyone involved in that decision in thinking it would retain profits. Couldnt think of anything more intuitive because ATT doesnt want to pay for a good C-level executive.
