Cannot send email with existing snet.net address

After years with no changes, apparently I may have missed a change in sending email using Thunderbird on my MacBook Air (iOS 10.13.6). I now see the message "This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information" and allowing an exception seems foolish. Has an outgoing server changed or other change been made?

Hello @mysticdoc,

We understand that you're having trouble with your email account. Don't worry, we can help with that.

Have you do OAuth process and did you update your server settings?

Please try doing so, let us know if it works for you.

As I said I use Thunderbird for email and the OAuth instructions say that it will not work with Thundebird. I updated server settings as given in the link you sent, but still get the same error message ”This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information” What else to try?

@ATTCares This has not worked. OAuth instructions say it does not work with Thunderbird.
