Cannot Login to My Yahoo.com Account - Always Redirects to AT&T Login?

I cannot log directly into my yahoo.com account, but instead I always get redirected to the AT&T login site when I enter my yahoo email at the yahoo login screen. I know that Yahoo & AT&T were sharing some identity services (login, etc.) a while ago, but ever since that time I've lost all access to my old yahoo login & instead always get redirected to an AT&T login. I'm not sure if it was a "merged account" or whatever it was being called back then or not.

The reason that I'd like to get access back for my yahoo email address, is that I've had my yahoo forward to my gmail account for years. For about the last year, I keep getting email messages (addressed to my yahoo email address) showing up in my gmail inbox, stuff that I've never signed up for before. It's not SPAM, but it looks like someone has used my yahoo email address to sign up for specific newsletters, etc. I think it's probably one of my relatives since my yahoo email address is my 1st initial + last [email scrubbed]. However, I'd like to get this resolved.

Hey, @tkofford. We'd be glad to help with your unmerged email concern.

As you suspected, it sounds like your email got unmerged a while ago, so your AT&T email and Yahoo email got separated. It sounds like you're having trouble with your Yahoo email getting newsletters? If that's the case, you'd have to get in touch with them since AT&T is no longer able to help.

Let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with, thanks for choosing AT&T!

I did have to contact yahoo support (not an easy thing), but they did resolve this issue. Once the support rep escalated my case to the correct group (identity management, I suspect), they stated that it was a fairly common issue & they fixed it. It did take 24+ hours for the fix to take place though, which is also fairly common for those systems to refresh.
