blocked websites

My husband is retired law enforcement and needs to access the website blueknights.org.  When we try to access it from our computers (using our home WI-FI), it times out.  If we try to access the website from our phones, (using our home WI-FI), it times out.  If I turn off the home WI-FI (I have Verizon), I am able to log on.  If I make my phone a mobile hotspot, I can get on the computer and access the website.  I have been trying since November to get on.  Today a technician came and thought it was a router issue.  It isn't.  Please help me.  I don't see where there are any blocks with Smart Home Manager.

Do you have AT&T Internet Security/Active Armor enabled?  What you're seeing has its fingerprints all over it.  Disable it and see what happens.

Hi!  Thank you for responding.  I got super excited about your reply.  I have downloaded the app (I don't have AT&T as my cellular provider) but I can't seem to figure out how to disable this.  I can't figure out how to see if they've blocked the website and I don't really want to have to pay $3.99.  But I so appreciate your response.  Thank you!  I guess I'll just have to live with it.  =(

The only way to see if they blocked a site is if you get a Notification from the app.  If you do, you can actually tap the notification and tell it to stop blocking it.  The problem with that is that many times there is no notification.

You can disable it by going into the AT&T gateway at http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/securityoptions.ha then enter the Access Code that is on the label on the gateway.  You should see a button to Disable it.  It's labeled Parental Controls because AT&T has never updated that page in years.

Thank you so much.  I followed your directions, which were great, but when I pull it up, it shows that the parental controls are already disabled.  Thank you anyway.  You really are a guru!!!

Well thanks but I hate those labels that the forum software assigns us.  Plus, I didn't even find your problem so not much guru-ing going on.

Let's see if removing the app entirely works.  Try the processes shown HERE.
