Billed for a service I no longer have

Hi. I had a 9 month service contract for just witeless internet at a leased apartment  that ended in october 2023. I just got billed this month for much more than double the

amount i ever paid, can someone help

me? This is going to overdraft my account

You call AT&T to cancel service when you're done. Be aware you pay for the full service month, it does not prorate. As for more than double, what does the bill say? Otherwise ask AT&T when you call them.

Did you return the equipment?

Non returned Uverse gateway equipment fee is $150.

If had ATT AIR, the non return equipment fee is $275.

AT&T INTERNET AIR OFFER: Residential customers only.  If service is canceled, must return AT&T All-Fi Hub to AT&T within 21 days or be subject to a $275 non-return equipment fee. Equipment non-return fee will be refunded if residential gateway is returned within 6 months of cancellation.

That occurred to me as well.  Especially since OP says just got billed on an account for service terminated several months ago.
