Being charged for returned equipment - Resolved through social media team

Hi there, I disconnected service in June, and returned my equipment as instructed, but I have a charge for $172.66 on my account. I have a hard time getting through to anyone via phone. I have chatted with an agent online last week who created a ticket, but the charge is still there. I've also reached out to AT&TCares on Twitter. The bill is due August 11th, and I would REALLY like to not be charged for it. Thanks for anything you can do!

Hi @rybodelerium!

We're always here to help! Did you return the equipment undamaged within 21 calendar days? If the equipment is not returned within 21 calendar days or is returned damaged, you will be charged for the value of the equipment. You can get more details on Return of Equipment after termination.

To fully assist with this issue further, I am sending you a private message(PM) to help in this matter. Please check your forums private message and reply to my message.

I look forward to your response and the opportunity to help you!

After multiple attempts to get help, I worked with the social media team yesterday and I think we are finally moving towards resolution. I returned the equipment within the time frame as requested. The charge was a result of an error in an AT&T billing system. I was given a 3-5 day resolution time for the charge to be removed. Thank you.
