AT&T misled me!
In January I called AT&T about my internet hot spot that had not worked for months. After a long conversation the AT&T representative told me that my account would be terminated and that I did not owe any balance. When I asked for a confirmation number she said I would receive an e-mail from AT&T confirming the conversation. Well, since then I have received nothing but monthly bills even though I have NOT used the internet hot spot at all, not once, and the bill increases every month without any use by me since months before January 2017. Now AT&T have sent me to collections. I find this MOST dishonorable on their part. Has anyone else experience this?

Dear AT&T:
On January 7, 2017 I phoned you and spoke with your representative, I believe the name was Alex, about my lack of service that had been continuous since the summer of 2016. This was for a wireless internet account for ** The hot spot quit working in the summer of 2016 and I had not only called by phone numerous times but also went in person to your store on Lincoln Blvd. several times. Even your store could not get it to work! After much discussion your representative told me that, "no termination fees would be charged" and I no longer would receive any more charges. Nothing could have been further from the truth and you have now turned me in to a collection agency! Shame on you! You have completely misled me, are forcing me to pay for service I have not received and now have a collection agence threatening me.
