My mother has an old AT&T email address with an Ameritech.net extension. If she cancels ATT service, will she still have access to her email account?

She should. Terms of service say you get to keep your current att email addresses. I recommend you make sure you keep a record of your 4-digit account pin, account number, your security questions, and make sure the recovery email address is pointing at a valid email address (preferably not an att address). These things make it less of a hassle if there are email problems in the future when no longer an att customer and problems arise like having to change your password.
