6 Days and Counting without Internet and Phone

Beginning the 6th day of no phone or internet service with ATT.  Not once has ATT provided an update after leaving my cell phone number with a CSR multiple times.  When I call daily to find out when service will be restored, I am told “within 24 hours by 8am the next day.” Stock answer.  As a customer for over 20 years, this is the most pathetic treatment I have ever seen with any service provider. If service is not going to be restored any time soon, just tell us. Using my cellphone hotspot is not okay since my ATT wireless plan will at some point cut me off for reaching a data limit.  Thanks, ATT!  Someone at ATT knows what is going on, just communicate it!

Hilarious, David! Did you honestly think that I did not know that there is an outage in my area??? There is definitely an outage in my area according to your, oh so helpful, ATT Outage map and that has been confirmed daily when calling into ATT and getting absolutely no information on repair status, only “service will be restored in 24 hours.”  Do you have any new, true, and ACCURATE information on when my service will be restored?

What you're experiencing is probably an outage, which is why a number of people in your area are facing the same issue. 

 

Sometimes, outages lasts for about a week due to maintenance, but if the issue is much bigger than that, it might take longer than expected.

Really?  I see from this forum that ATT is having outages all over the country.  Maybe escalating this to the media or regulators will get us some answers.

Att does not share outage repair info to anyone. You just have to wait for the outage to be repaired. Filing a bbb complaint may get you a better answer. You have unplugged and restarted the gateway since the outage to confirm the outage still

exists?

@Brek1989  Do not file with the FTC. That will go nowhere. File a complaint with the BBB. That will go straight to AT&T Corporate and a Senior Manager from the Office of the President will contact you. They have the authority and resources to look into issues like this. They may be able to offer more accurate information. That's as high up in AT&T as a customer can go.
