When will fiber internet be available?

When will fiber internet be available in North Richland Hills, Tx? At this time I can only get 25mbps which is ridiculous.

There is already fiber in zip code 76180 and 76182.

ATT past statements is a goal of 30+ million addresses with direct fiber (FTTP) in 100+ markets within selected areas of 21 states. This is 50%of the Uverse platforms that was deployed from 2006 to end 2015. Current fiber deployments has been ongoing since 2016 with an average of 3 million per year, that was 15 million from 2016 to end 2020 and another 15 million planned for from 2021 to end 2025.

Currently over 22 million addresses have FTTP availability with additional 8 million to be added over next 30 months. I suspect at least 4.5 million have already been planned and started being in various stages.

Will your neighborhood have this upgrade by then? You have about a 20% chance of receiving fiber (8 million out of 38 million), you can wait and see for an IF/WHEN moment or consider your other options including cable, FWA, satellite or relocating to where the desired service exists.

while not up to date…

click on the map, select fiber then zoom in to area…appears to be a lot of fiber already in North Richland.

At ATT average of 3 million addresses including new construction, apartment / condo complexes and single family subdivisions this is 250,000 addresses per month or average 10,000 addresses being turned green for fiber 6 days a week. ATT spent $2 billion per month in 2022 and 2023 or $24 billion per year deploying fiber and scheduled to spend $20 billion in 2024. That is $68 billion in just three of their 10 year build out.

Nobody knows. AT&T doesn’t share future builds and services
