Not honoring promotional offer after activating the internet service

AT&T executive promised us that we would get $300 cash back instead of $250/$200 if we activate our internet service through her. She said, if we do it online which has $200/$250 cash back, it would take days in activation and installation of the modem. But if she is doing the activation instead of we doing it ourselves, the activation would be in a day with $300 cash back. 

What would you do? That's right. Feel blessed as such a wonderful deal came your doorstep and take the offer. 

That's what we did. Activation did happen in a day. But the cash back?  Like many many false promises, the $300 cash back promise was a lie too. When we called up the customer care, we were getting $50 as an adjustment. She said the offer of $300 is not a legitimate one. When we protested further, the manager said she cannot escalate to her higher authority. She wanted us to mail, that's right, mail not even email to the Executive Office and they will get back to me. Im very sure this is another cheep trick on us to get us away and leave our cashback. 


We wouldn’t have joined AT&T if there was no cash back. Because, we were happy with our previous provider. 

Hope someone in At&t listens to our concern and honor the promises which were promised during sales.

What number did you call to reach this “att executive”? Or were you called about service without inquiring about it?

 No such promotion of cash back. Online rewards cards by signing up online. sounds like a reseller.

Sorry .It's not cash back .. Agent told that I will be receiving 200$ +100$ rewards visa cards.

I reached out to both customer care and rewards team today..both couldn't help . They were not even trying to take this a complaint/ feedback and take necessary action on the agents who are giving the false information to the customers.

Initially I thought of placing the order via online but looking at the Promotional offer of 200$ /250$ (I can't remember exact amount). But at that time I have few quires and reached out to the customer care via chat option in the AT&T website. Initially it was video call where agent clarified all my quires and told she can also place the same order and also get better deal of 300$ promotional offer which I felt legitimate. Because the agent sounded very legitimate since I got connected with her from at&t website itself. If this is not legitimate then At&t should stop the chat services.

As a customer we always believe , trust and relay on the customer care agent information very much.

Let's get you on the right track of claiming your AT&T Rewards Card, dileeptangudu!


To start the claim process, you will need to do the following:

  1. When receiving your rewards claim number via email, you will need to access the AT&T Rewards Website home page. 

  2. Go to Access Your Rewards and enter the claim number along with your other information. 

  3. After completing your claim entry and info, the rewards card will be sent to your mailing address on file within 3 weeks after processing.
