Is there a construction and engineering department?

If there is contact information for this department, I’d like to have a chat. I currently live one street away from fiber. It’s been about 7 years or so that my street hasn’t been added. I know AT&T is hoping wireless internet will be the future, but I have about two bars at best. Going back to the one street away , is it common practice to not lay line to an entire neighborhood?

Hi @JakeWil1989!

Thanks for joining us on the Community Forums! The best way to get information about fiber in your area is to contact your City Council. They are the ones who make the decision on where to install the fiber. Since it is available on the street behind you, I’d like to provide our website to verify availability. Please click here to be directed to the site. Thanks so much for your time. Have a wonderful weekend!

@ATTHelp I am the president of a home owners assn located in Royal Oaks Ca 95076 (unincorporated) AT&T has just install a fiber optic cable in front of our subdivision on Lewis Rd. The connection box is within 50 feet of our telephone pole. How do I arrange to get the subdivision connected? How many hookups do you need to install connections on Lewis Road.i callAT&T support and was connected to a fellow in the Phillipines but ......never got back to me with any answers . We are on Internet satilite which frankly leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks for your response.

I'll be on the look out for the message. Sure hope there is something you can do, because I see a lot of people complaining about 25 mbs and I'm using 1.8 - 2.1 mbs for years now.

Sadly, this seems to be S.O.P. for AT&T. Disgusting, pathetic, etc.etc.

 Aug 31st, and I have yet to get that message. So far I was told to talk to the City Counsel to see about getting Fiber on my street. Does that mean our taxes pay for the Fiber, then At&T charges me to use it ?

@JakeWil1989 - still no message I assume?

I'm in the same predicament - 95% our neighborhood is just outside of the city limits with one small street inside the city limits. The small street inside the city limits has fiber available to them but the rest of us don't even though they ran the line right through my neighbor's front yard.
