When you get a door hanger on your door. AT&T doesn’t share future service dates

You will know when either you have a door hanger saying so or you put your address into the availability map and it finally says you do. There is no notification ahead of time.

Here is a notification for all addresses within ATT 21 state footprint…

ATT has started a 2nd (5) year build out of fiber (2021 to end 2025) to add 15 million additional residential fiber addresses to the 15 million from the first (5) year build out (2016-end 2020). This will bring the total at completion to 30 million addresses or roughly 50% of all hardwired addresses within the footprint.

Number 1 to receive the new fiber will be GREENFIELD projects of mew apartment / condo complexes and new subdivisions.

Number 2 will be a portion of the 20+ million FTTN addresses that currently has internet speeds of 100, 75, 50, 25 depending upon facilities and copper distance from those facilities.

Number 3 will be a small percentage of ADSL2+ (Current speeds of 18 or less).

With about 19 million already available, 11 million to be added in less than 3.5 years.

The only question is will you be part of the 50% with fiber or 50% without fiber in 2026. And if without, are you willing to move to an address that has fiber availability?
