I was told to do all that five years ago you're not a big help
@ATTHelp my next door neighbor has fiber optic. The cable runs through my front yard and they still tell me I’m not eligible. (Edited per community guidelines)

Whoever told you that five years ago was mistaken. AT&T never shares expansion plans with the public. Even the local construction crews don't have this information until the work orders actually drop. The information provided by ATTHelp contains your best options.
