That zip code currently has 9.5% fiber coverage....
While I know some MDU complexes have been upgraded, not aware of any single family residences.
The was a group of techs hired for Madison that started the training back in January. Then COVID became a reality, all training was cancelled, tech in training let go.
Madison is understaffed, there are loaners there pretty regular for uo to 3 weeks at a time, especially during start of college seasons.
While do not know if true, heard there are only 10 UVERSE techs for all of Madison, the state capitol. Until more techs can be hired and trained, process can be 4 to 6 months... I would not expect any large scale new fiber launches as not enough workers to cover current demand.
Techs from Milwaukee get loaned to Madison during school starts, generally 1 week.... hour plus drive each way.
Hey there @clark2222 we know how exciting it is to be hearing about the faster speeds. We know that we do have fiber in Madison, WI.
The best way to get the answer is through this resource on if fiber is available or when it might become available. It has the information that will help, a link to our coverage map, and a way to check your address information directly.
We hope to be able to get you the speeds you want quickly @clark2222.

map does not help, i got the info from chat, hoping the info is true, been waiting a long time, one fiber line behind my house has been sitting there for 3 years aprox with man hole on gladstone another fiber run down tusun trail some fiber added this summer.
A while back we signed up for notifications from AT&T for when fiber will be available at our 53719 address. A few weeks ago, we received an email that said fiber is available.
However, it's still not possible to order online or when speaking to a tech on the phone. We signed up for notifications again and received the same email saying "Good news! Fiber is now available at your address.".... Is this a glitch?
How can we improve?
