Fiber available in only 2/3rds of the neighborhood and ATT left a few years ago
Title says it all. Large, nice area neighborhood, with underground utilities, in the center of a metro area, with fiber all around the neighborhood. ATT came out and installed Fiber to 2/3rds of the neighborhood, but left the entire bottom right quadrant, which is several hundred homes, without fiber service. They even came back to install the 5G wireless service poles in the section that has fiber.
We can tell exactly were ATT left off by doing address searches for fiber on the ATT website. The homes that are left are only offered the older 75Mbps U-verse service. From my research online with these fiber installs, an area that already has U-verse is easier for them to run fiber service, so why haven't we been completed yet?
Residents in the area have gone to the ATT page where you can request to be notified once fiber is avail in order to show demand. I've also just filled out an ATT "Research My Address" page request. I have also sent an email to my city officials with the ATT link where the HOA person can submit an ATT Fiber enquiry about the area. I have called into customer support, and they can't help as they don't have any project information.
Inside ATT there has to be a database somewhere of what the status is of this area currently. Hopefully we are still on the list to be completed and have not been accidentally crossed off as complete. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find the fiber service ETA of the rest of our neighborhood?
