Fiber available in only 2/3rds of the neighborhood and ATT left a few years ago
Title says it all. Large, nice area neighborhood, with underground utilities, in the center of a metro area, with fiber all around the neighborhood. ATT came out and installed Fiber to 2/3rds of the neighborhood, but left the entire bottom right quadrant, which is several hundred homes, without fiber service. They even came back to install the 5G wireless service poles in the section that has fiber.
We can tell exactly were ATT left off by doing address searches for fiber on the ATT website. The homes that are left are only offered the older 75Mbps U-verse service. From my research online with these fiber installs, an area that already has U-verse is easier for them to run fiber service, so why haven't we been completed yet?
Residents in the area have gone to the ATT page where you can request to be notified once fiber is avail in order to show demand. I've also just filled out an ATT "Research My Address" page request. I have also sent an email to my city officials with the ATT link where the HOA person can submit an ATT Fiber enquiry about the area. I have called into customer support, and they can't help as they don't have any project information.
Inside ATT there has to be a database somewhere of what the status is of this area currently. Hopefully we are still on the list to be completed and have not been accidentally crossed off as complete. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find the fiber service ETA of the rest of our neighborhood?

There is none available to customers or front line employees.
If 2/3 are already fiber that is above the expected end 2025 of 50% of hardwired addresses having fiber.
Out of estimated 60 million addresses that are Uverse platform, 20 million has been wired since 2016 with 3 years remaining to reach another 10 million.
I would put my zipcode of about 15,000 addresses around 35% fiber or 5000+... 10,000 still waiting.
There are few zip codes with high (80+%) fiber ratio. Those I am aware of are where Google fiber was offered.
I am also aware of some zip codes that are currently 0% fiber, mainly outlying areas with lower population and density.
Might they come back and fill in some gaps, yes... but do not expect all to have the service.
For 2022 and 2023 ATT is spending $2 billion per month ($24 billion each year) deploying fiber infrastructure with another $20 billion schedule for 2024.
Only time (next 3 years) can speak of which half (50%) your addresses will be in. If see construction activity on street ... expect good things in 6 to 12 months.

CLICK ON THE MAP, SELECT FIBER, ZOOM INTO AREA.
The map is outdated by roughly 6 months.

Quite simple… ATT Uverse 10 year upgrade from 2006 to end 2015 provided 33 million residential addresses with FTTN (fiber to the node, neighborhood) current speeds 100 to 25 depending on facilities and copper distance from those facilities… and 24 million with ADSL2+ (speeds 18 or less) from central offices (CO) or remote terminals (RT). Total 57 million Uverse addresses.
The current entire 10 year fiber buildout is to reach 30 million addresses, about 90% of FTTN and add in all new construction of apartment, condo complexes and greenfield subdivision plus a percentage of ADSL2+ and easy to see not all FTTN will be converted to FTTP by 2026.
If ATT adds a 3rd 5 year fiber build out from 2026 to end 2030… another 15 million residential addresses at 3 million per year then
all FTTNs should be upgraded… that a big IF and 8 years.
Just my thoughts…

No need to upgrade as of yet. They may be upgraded in the currently cycle but there is no posted schedule available to customers. When the portion of the neighborhood had 75 Mbps the other section had nothing or DSL.
5G Cellular Towers are not connected to Fiber service areas. Do you have a Cable service available to order faster speeds or you might consider moving.

@dave006 , Luckly I've had cable since we've lived here for quite a while. The residents would like ATT fiber for greater reliability and to make internet cost more competitive.
